Exolum joins Gasnam as a new patron member

  •  This incorporation is in line with the company’s diversification strategy

Exolum has joined Gasnam as a patron member to continue to back the production and use of carbon neutral gases in mobility, in line with the ambitious plan for growth and diversification
towards new business models that the company is rolling out to respond to the challenge posed by the energy transition.

Exolum is currently engaged in the diversification of its activities with the aim of becoming a relevant player in the development of new energy vectors, embarking on projects related to the storage and distribution of chemical products, eco‐fuels, hydrogen and the circular economy.

In this respect, in 2022 the company will commission the first plant for production and supply of green hydrogen for mobility in the Madrid region. At an early stage, the plant, will produce approximately 60 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. Any company or user interested in introducing this energy vector in their operations will have access to it.

Furthermore, Exolum, Naturgy and Enagás (through its subsidiary Scale Gas) have signed the “Win4H2” alliance, by which they will work together to study and develop infrastructures for the production, distribution and supply of green hydrogen to enable mobility by vehicles powered with this sustainable fuel throughout the Iberian Peninsula.

Gasnam is the sustainable transport association for the gas and hydrogen value chain and it tackles the environmental, economic and operational challenges of transport by land, sea and air, in Spain and Portugal. The association currently has 145 members across multiple sectors: energy, automobile, engineering, goods and passenger transport, ports, shipping companies, shipyards, universities and administrations.
