Campus Iberus presents the second edition of the Entrepreneurship awards, sponsored by the CLH Group

  • The proposals submitted by Eversens and Epic Power Converter are the winners in the categories of innovative idea and business project, respectively.

The proposals of Eversens in the category "innovative idea", and the company Epic Power Converter S.L. in the category "business project" are the winners of the second edition of the Iberus Emprende awards, sponsored by the CLH Group.

The Eversens project, submitted by the Public University of Navarra, proposes the development of a non-invasive clinical diagnostic procedure, through the detection of exhaled biomarkers, i.e. present in the human breath.

In the business project category, the proposal of Epic Power Converter S.L. from the University of La Rioja is the winner, and it consists of the development, production and sale of electrical energy recovery and storage systems aimed at improving the energy consumption and efficiency of new and existing lifts.

In addition, the jury presented two second prizes for each category to the proposals of Optic Sensing Technology and Bioeder Technology, both from the Public University of Navarra.

The winners were announced during a ceremony held earlier today at the University of La Rioja after a presentation given by the leaders of the finalist projects in a session open to the public.

The Chairman of the CLH Group, José Luis López de Silanes, participated in the award ceremony, where he expressed his satisfaction for this initiative and highlighted the quality of the finalist proposals.

In addition to López de Silanes, the event was attended by the rectors of the four universities that form part of Campus Iberus: the rector of the University of Zaragoza, Manuel López; the rector of the University of Lleida, Roberto Fernández; the rector of the Public University of Navarra, Alfonso Carlosena; and the rector of the University of La Rioja, José Arnáez.

The main purpose of the Iberus Emprende programme is to foster entrepreneurship in the Ebro Valley, through the recognition of the best ideas and business projects submitted by students, graduates, teachers, administrative and service staff of all four universities that form part of Campus Iberus.

To select the winners and finalists, a panel of experts took into account criteria such as the uniqueness, applicability or innovation of the ideas.
