  • The Chairman of CLH, José Luis López de Silanes, explained the company’s activities and investments in the region to the President of the Principality of Asturias

The Chairman of the CLH Group, José Luis Lopez de Silanes, met today with Javier Fernández, the President of the Principality of Asturias, in Oviedo to explain the company’s main activities and recent investments made in the region of Asturias.

CLH has a facility at the Port of Musel in Gijón with a storage capacity of 162,000 cubic metres, where it distributes petroleum products to the region’s areas of consumption.

In recent years, the company has invested over 16 million euros in expansions and improvements to the plant. These activities include building two new storage tanks, adapting the centre for biofuel transport and storage, and starting up other auxiliary facilities.

CLH’s investments also include building a new loading and unloading area for tankers at the Port of El Musel. This berth, which is connected to the facility by pipeline, has improved the plant’s operations.

In addition to the facility at El Musel, the company’s subsidiary CLH Aviación has an airport facility that provides into-plane fuelling services at Asturias Airport. The CLH Group has invested over 180,000 euros in the plant to improve its infrastructure and auxiliary facilities.

In 2015, the company supplied over 830,000 cubic metres of fuel in the Principality of Asturias to different petroleum product operators working in the region in order to meet the demand of its final users.
