The Chairman of CLH, José Luis López de Silanes, explained to the president of the regional government of La Rioja, José Ignacio Ceniceros, the company’s functioning and main activities.

The Chairman of CLH, José Luis López de Silanes, has held a meeting today with the president of the regional government of La Rioja, José Ignacio Ceniceros, in order to explain the company’s functioning and main activities in the region.

The CLH Group is present in La Rioja through its subsidiary CLH Aviación, which has a facility at Logroño airport, where it provides kerosene supply and into-plane services to the airline companies that operate in the terminal.

CLH’s pipeline network in La Rioja exceeds 14 kilometres. This section has strategic relevance for the company’s operations as it allows the regions of the Basque country, Navarra and Castilla León to be connected to the Rota-Zaragoza pipeline, which crosses the Iberian Peninsula from north to south.

The CLH Group supplies the region of La Rioja with oil products from different facilities located nearby, mainly at the Rivabellosa plant (Álava), thus providing this region with great supply security.

In 2014, the Group supplied more than 283,000 cubic metres of oil products, mainly diesel oil, to different operators in La Rioja in order to meet end user demand. During the first half of 2015, the supplied volume exceeded 148,500 cubic metres.

The CLH Group

The CLH Group is the leading Spanish company in oil product transportation and storage. The Group’s infrastructure in Spain consists of over 4,000 kilometres of oil pipelines and 39 storage facilities, with a capacity of 8 million cubic metres, in addition to 28 airport facilities.

On an international scale, the company operates in the United Kingdom through its subsidiary, CLH-PS, managing an infrastructure network of 2,000 kilometres of oil pipelines and 16 storage facilities with a capacity of one million cubic metres.

CLH is also developing a major project in the Sultanate of Oman, where it has established a company with Orpic, called OLC, which is currently building an oil pipeline and storage facility in this country.
