The chairman of the CLH Group meets the president of the regional government of Valencia

  • José Luis Lopez de Silanes explained the operation of the company and its internationalisation process to Ximo Puig

The chairman of the CLH Group, José Luis Lopez de Silanes, met in Valencia earlier today with the president of the regional government of Valencia, Ximo Puig, to explain the main activities carried out by the company in the region and the internationalisation project implemented over the past years.

The CLH Group manages three storage facilities in the Valencia region, which are located in Castellón, Albuixech (Valencia) and Alicante. The company also has two pumping stations: in Castellón for the Castellón-Valencia pipeline and in Alicante for the Alicante-El Altet pipeline, as well as a 61-kilometre pipeline connecting the plants in Castellón and Albuixech.

As for the facility in Alicante, it provides oil products through a pipeline that starts at the facility owned by the company in Cartagena (Murcia). This branch passes through the province of Alicante and is 67 kilometres long. The facility in Alicante is also connected to the Altet airport through a 5-kilometre pipe for the provision of fuel. In total, the company manages 133 km of pipeline in the Valencia region.

CLH is also present, through its subsidiary CLH Aviación, in the Alicante (Altet) and Valencia (Manises) airports, where it has two facilities for the provision of fuel to aircraft at those terminals.

Over the past ten years, the company has invested nearly 50 million euros in the Valencia region, mainly devoted to expanding the storage capacity of the facilities in Albuixech (Valencia), where eight new storage tanks were built, and Castellón, where four new tanks were commissioned and a new tanker ship berth and unloading point was built.

Furthermore, CLH Aviación has undertaken renovation works at its facility in the Altet airport (Alicante), which allowed for the construction of a new plant with higher capacity in the same space where the previous one was located, ensuring operations while the works were being carried out.

During 2015, the CLH Group provided over 3.7 million cubic metres of fuel to the different oil operators through its facilities in the Valencia region to meet end user demand.
