Exolum and the Reina Sofía School of Music have signed a partnership agreement through which the company is expanding its collaboration with the School by awarding a scholarship to support a student’s training.
Through this agreement, Exolum helps to facilitate access to musical training of the highest calibre, thereby reinforcing its commitment to education and cultural patronage. The Exolum Scholarship will be awarded annually and, in its first year, has been awarded to the violinist Diego Sánchez Mangas (Zamora, 2007), who is currently studying with Maestro Christoph Poppen, holder of the Telefónica Chair of Violin at the Reina Sofía School.
This agreement reflects Exolum’s commitment to making a positive impact on society beyond its business activities, by promoting initiatives that foster the development of talent, equal opportunities and access to culture.
At the signing ceremony, the founding president of the Reina Sofía School of Music, Paloma O’Shea, emphasised that “At the School, we work to support talented young artists, both in their personal and artistic growth. To be able to offer them the best training with free tuition, the support of companies and institutions is essential. That is why we celebrate with joy and gratitude the addition of Exolum as a patron of the School.”
For his part, Javier Goñi, CEO of Exolum, stated that “With this agreement, we reaffirm our commitment to education, the nurturing of young talent and the promotion of culture as a driving force for progress. We are convinced that investing in the development of new generations is part of the responsibility that companies have towards society”.
