Exolum renews its support to the Real Madrid Foundation in cooperation with the city council of San Fernando de Henares
– The Social and Football Sports School located in the city supports around 100 children each season
Earlier today, the Director of Institutional Relations of the Real Madrid Foundation, Emilio Butragueño, received the mayor of San Fernando de Henares, Javier Corpa, and Exolum’s Spain BU and Aviation general manager, Jorge Guillén, at the Auditorium of Real Madrid City in order to renew their cooperation for the development of the Social and Football Sports School for integration in this city of the Madrid region.
Children aged between 5 and 17 who participate in the project benefit from fully or partially subsidised activities thanks to the support of Exolum and the cooperation of the city council, both through its sports department by allowing the premises to be used for such purposes and from the social services area, which means that at least 50% of available slots are for children at risk of social exclusion or at a social disadvantage.
The mayor of San Fernando de Henares stated: “I am delighted to be here today as, with the signing of this renewal, we provide continuity to this project. I hope we continue this collaboration for many years to come, because it benefits children in our city (…). It also promotes important sporting values, such as teamwork, respect, solidarity or interpersonal relations and healthy lifestyles. It is a privilege to count on this school.”
Jorge Guillén, Exolum’s Spain BU and Aviation general manager, highlighted: “At Exolum, we are proud to extend this collaboration with the city council of San Fernando de Henares and the Real Madrid Foundation. This initiative, which has such a positive impact on the municipality and on childhood, makes it possible to work on values such as trust, respect, tolerance and shared leadership, which are at the heart of Exolum’s business, through sports.”
Emilio Butragueño underlined: “Thanks to Exolum’s support and the cooperation of both the sports and social services areas of the city council, we are all a team where each entity plays its part and would not work without the others, and this is one of the things we want to instil into the boys and girls participating in the Foundation’s projects across the world.”
The cooperation agreement among the three entities represents the consolidation for another year of this common project developed in this city of the Madrid region since 2011.
