CLH uses artificial intelligence to improve its forecasts for product delivery from its facilities

  • The company is in the midst of a digital transformation plan to improve its operational processes and logistical capacity

CLH has improved its forecasting for the delivery of oil products from its facilities, thanks to a new artificial intelligence system that allows it to operate in a more flexible and scalable way, in addition to facilitating decision-making, optimising planning and reducing costs.

Accordingly, using multiple forecasting algorithms, the company is able to produce accurate forecasts for oil product deliveries from its facilities in an automated and flexible way, which allows it to increase its logistical capacity.

To achieve this, the company uses machine learning algorithms to train predictive models.  These algorithms are at the forefront of time series forecasting and enable the establishment of a forecasting system that is adaptable to changes in demand patterns.

As a result, the forecasts allow CLH to react to changes in time series patterns in an automated and flexible way. This technology is the same as that employed to learn from users and their usage habits so that the company can recommend better products and services.

To schedule oil product movements, CLH uses output forecasts for these product deliveries. Thus, accurate and precise forecasts allow the optimisation of product movements via pipelines and vessels and reduce operating costs.

Accurate forecasting of demand at our facilities also allows to improve the quality service by avoiding stock shortages, anticipate peaks in demand and improve integrated operations with transport and refineries.
