CLH Aviación starts its operations at Guayaquil airport

  • The company performs fuel operation, maintenance and into-plane fuelling activities

CLH Aviación has started its operation, maintenance and into-plane fuelling activities at José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, in the city of Guayaquil (Ecuador), through its subsidiary CLH Aviación Ecuador, after being the awardee of a tender process organised by the entity that manages the airport, TAGSA (Terminal Aeropuerto Guayaquil S.A.).

The company started its operations on 5 November and will operate under a concession scheme for a period of ten years. For such purpose, it has incorporated new supply vehicles and will implement improvements at the facility and in operations.

The José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport is one of the main airports in Ecuador in terms of business volume. Last year, it managed over 215,000 cubic metres of fuels.

CLH Aviación is a Strategic Partner of IATA and a member of the Joint Inspection Group (JIG), where it is an active participant in the Technical Forum and the Operations Committee, which entails the application of the best international practices with regard to operations and safety, occupational safety and environmental management.

The company also participates on several committees and subcommittees of the Energy Institute, is an affiliate member of the ALTA (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association) and member of ACI-LAC.
