Exolum H2 Henares

Project Name: Exolum H2 Henares

Location: San Fernando de Henares (Madrid, Spain)
Project Pillar: Renewable gases
OVERVIEW AND EXPLANATION OF THE PILLAR IT BELONGS TO:

The project consists of the development of the first green hydrogen production and supply plant for mobility purposes in the Madrid Region. The plant is equipped with pioneering technology developed by the company Fusion Fuel and based on microelectrolysis, which may result in a notable reduction in green hydrogen production costs.

DESCRIPTION:

The plant comprise 21 HEVO–SOLAR units. This technology uses the concentration of solar radiation to obtain electricity by means of a photovoltaic cell and thermal energy. The solar radiation is concentrated and made to focus on a small photovoltaic cell, producing electrical energy and generating a very large amount of thermal energy, which will be used to heat the water used in the micro electrolyser responsible for generating hydrogen.

At an early stage, the plant produces approximately 60 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. Any company or user interested in introducing this energy vector in their operations will have access to it.

STATUS: In testing phase
INVESTMENT: €1,800,000
