Project Name: Garbium
Plant for the receipt and processing of waste, mainly intended for the management of MARPOL Annex I type residue from ships, in an area with high volumes of shipping traffic. This plant reinforces the commitment of the Exolum group to preventing marine pollution via a circular economy project. To this end, the project will be endowed with the best technology available, attending to safety, environmental and sustainability criteria.
The plant is prepared to treat 547,500 t/year and makes it possible to supply better-quality recovered fuel since it will be treated by centrifugation of the residue.
This plant reinforces the commitment to preventing marine pollution via a circular economy project. Furthermore, it involves the installation of the best available technologies to protect the environment.
This dynamic project will create more than 50 jobs during the operating stage and 150 jobs at the peak of the construction stage, as well as generating considerable economic activity in the area.
