The CLH Group has received the “Actualidad Económica” Award for the Top 100 Financial Experts for the seventh consecutive year
- This award recognises the work of financial managers in Spanish organisations
Actualidad Económica magazine and the professional services firm KPMG have recognised the Finance General Manager of the CLH Group, Jesús Alba, as one of the “Top 100 Financial Experts” in Spain for the seventh year in a row. The award was presented yesterday in Madrid during a ceremony chaired by the Director of the Economic Office of the Prime Minister, Álvaro Nadal.
This initiative, which has become a point of reference in the industry in only seven years, recognises the work of financial managers, who have become increasingly relevant within organisations, and their contribution to the proper operations and development of said organisations.
John Scott, the Chairman of KPMG, and Miguel Ángel Belloso, the editor of Actualidad Económica magazine, highlight the work performed by CFOs, who they believe to be responsible for obtaining credit and liquidity and designing appropriate plans to strengthen the companies’ balance sheets.
Álvaro Nadal stated that Spain “needs more financial culture” to address the lack of competitiveness that, in his words, has been one of our country’s weaker points in recent years.
In order to grant this award, the consulting company KPMG and Actualidad Económica prepare an annual report on the financial departments of nearly 2,000 listed and unlisted companies from all Spanish sectors.
