The CLH Group has invested 40 million euros in the Autonomous Community of Aragón between 2007 and 2013
- The Chairman of CLH, José Luis Lopez de Silanes, held a meeting today in Zaragoza with the President of the Community, Luisa Fernanda Rudi, to explain about the company's activities and the latest investments to be made
During the 2007-2013 period, Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos CLH, S.A. has made investments amounting to 40 million euros in the Autonomous Community of Aragón, which have enabled the company to make its infrastructures ready to meet fuel supply demands in the Community over the next decade.
The CLH storage facility in Zaragoza plays a key role in the company's logistics network since it is a meeting point for three major pipelines: the Rota – Zaragoza pipeline, the Tarragona – Lleida – Zaragoza pipeline and the Miranda – Pamplona – Zaragoza pipeline. For this reason, apart from storing and distributing the fuels necessary for meeting demand in the Community, this facility acts as a lung and a station for regulating the pipelines that provide service to other autonomous communities.
One of the most important projects to be implemented in Aragón is the duplication of the Zaragoza – Torrejón de Ardoz pipeline, which required an investment of almost 32 million euros in the Community and is designed to transport 4.5 million m3 per annum. This infrastructure is also fitted out with the latest satellite technologies to enable it to be managed and monitored from the company's control centre.
This pipeline, which is almost 290 kilometres long, makes it possible for transportation capacity to be increased so as to guarantee a suitable level of oil product supply to central Spain.
CLH has invested 8 million euros in operational, safety and environmental improvements at the Zaragoza facility, which include the storage and distribution of biofuels.
CLH presence in the Community of Aragón
Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos CLH is the leading company in the Spanish market for the transportation and storage of oil products, with a pipeline network over 4,000 kilometres long and 39 storage facilities that have a total capacity of 7.9 million cubic metres, as well as 28 airport facilities.
The CLH pipeline network in the Autonomous Community of Aragón is 440 kilometres long and connects the Zaragoza storage facility with the company's pipeline network.
Through its subsidiary CLH Aviación, CLH is also present at Zaragoza airport where aviation fuel is supplied to the airlines operating at this terminal.
During 2013, the company supplied the various oil operators with around 1.7 million cubic metres of fuel through its facility in Zaragoza, in order to meet end-user demand in the Community.
