CLH will cooperate with the Red Cross throughout 2020 to mitigate the health emergency situation caused by Covid-19

The CLH Group has opened an account so that the company’s employees can make their contributions to cooperate with the Red Cross in addressing the crisis situation caused by Covid-19 in Spain. The company has undertaken to double the amount of the donations received which will then be given to this humanitarian organisation throughout 2020.

Particularly, the sum of the donations given by the CLH Group employees and the company itself will be used in the “Basic Needs” project, aimed at meeting the food needs of those affected by the measures adopted to prevent the pandemic.

The CLH Group has developed other cooperation initiatives as a result of the emergency situation, such as the donation of medical supplies for an amount of 1 million euros to the Ministry of the Interior for distribution to state law enforcement agencies, hospitals and retirement homes.

CLH has also distributed essential items to 21 hospitals and 9 retirement homes located in towns where the company has facilities or where relatives of company staff work.

Similarly, the CLH Group has created, together with other companies in the energy sector, the Energía Positiva+ initiative to attract and financially support startups and scaleups with innovative projects that can be set up immediately and developed and implemented within a maximum period of one year.

Furthermore, since the beginning of this situation the CLH Group has had a Contingency Plan in place to protect the health of its employees and to guarantee that its infrastructures remain operational and fuel is supplied to society.

The company has now launched a Return Plan aimed at ensuring a staggered and safe return to their working centres for CLH employees and the reactivation of some operations suspended during the state of emergency, according to the directions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health. The Plan will adapt to the requirements established by the authorities at any given time.
