In 2023, we launched our Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA) network—a group of trained professionals who go beyond responding to crises. They are culture shapers, stigma breakers, and wellbeing advocates, creating a ripple effect that strengthens trust, boosts morale, and helps our people thrive.
At Exolum, supporting mental health isn’t just a value—it’s a business imperative that underpins the success of our operations. We are committed to the physical and psychological well-being of every employee.
To reinforce this commitment, and in line with our One Exolum vision, we introduced the Global Mental Health Programme, built on three core objectives:
1 Integrate and Streamline Support: Create a unified framework that connects our existing mental health initiatives, making it easier for employees to find and access the support they need wherever they are.
2 Foster Awareness and Reduce Stigma: Actively work to break down stigma around mental health by promoting awareness and education across all regions.
3 Enhance Access with Local Relevance: Improve availability and accessibility of mental health resources globally, while ensuring our approaches are adapted to comply with local laws, cultural norms, and regulatory requirements.
Together, these efforts create a workplace where mental health is prioritized, stigma is dismantled, and every individual feels supported.
Over the past 18 months, the MHFA has worked to raise
awareness and engagement around mental health across NWE,
helping ensure everyone feels recognised, heard, and supported. We strive to be part of the solution, overcoming barriers and breaking down stigma. Our work goes beyond frontline support for peers, extending to leadership development, championing initiatives, and providing organisational guidance on proactive changes to our commitments and policies.
