General environmental plan

Environmental protection is a strategic pillar for Exolum. To ensure our operations are sustainable, safe and efficient, we operate a structured Environmental Management System certified in accordance with the UNE-EN ISO 14001 standard.

Principles and Structure

The system is based on clear principles:

  • Prevention and continuous improvement, through the identification of
relevant environmental aspects and the periodic review of performance
    targets.
  • Regulatory compliance, integrating legal requirements and best practices
into all processes, supported by internal and external audits.
  • Transparency and traceability, ensuring that information is regularly
audited, building trust and demonstrating rigour in our environmental actions.

Tangible Results

  • Renewal of environmental accreditations at key ports, including Barcelona,
Bilbao, Mahón, Ibiza, Gijón, Motril and Algeciras.
  • Achievement of ISO 14001 certification for the Spanish Network, Aviation
    operations and terminals in Germany.
  • International expansion of the system to new locations such as Lisbon (Portugal) and Lima (Peru), reinforcing our global sustainability commitment.

Strategic Alignment

Our Environmental Management System aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the commitments of the Paris Agreement (COP21), translated into specific action plans that support:

  • Biodiversity protection.
  • Efficient use of resources.
  • The fight against climate change.
